The Himachal Pradesh Government’s Chief Minister Sukhashray Yojana is transforming the lives of orphaned and destitute children by providing financial support and permanent housing. Under the scheme, 29 beneficiaries in Shimla district are receiving assistance for house construction.
Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap inspected the under-construction house of beneficiary Rohit in Kiyana village of Janol Panchayat and directed officials to ensure timely and quality completion of the project.
Rohit, who lost both his parents at a young age, was recognised as a “Child of the State” under the scheme in 2023. He receives a monthly financial assistance of ₹4,000 and has been sanctioned ₹3 lakh to construct a permanent house. The Deputy Commissioner said regular field inspections will continue to ensure all beneficiaries receive government support without delay.
