Rohru’s Police ASI Wins Bronze Medal in National Shooting Championship

In Rohru, Himachal Pradesh, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ranjeet Singh, currently serving in the police department, has brought honor by winning a bronze medal at the national level in shooting. This achievement in the 0.22 Rifle 50 meters 3 Position event was secured during the 32nd All India GV Mavalankar Shooting Championship, held in Mau, Madhya Pradesh, from September 1st to 10th.

The All India GV Mavalankar Shooting Championship is a prestigious event in the country. ASI Ranjeet Singh, who was once counted among Himachal Pradesh’s top shooters, has also earned the title of Best Shooter. Originally hailing from Kolar in Sirmaur, he has been serving in Rohru since 2017.

In a conversation with MBM News Network, ASI Ranjeet Singh expressed that his deep interest in shooting developed shortly after starting his services in the police department. He extended his gratitude to the senior officers of the department for their support.

He mentioned that it was the full support from the department that made this success possible. He also expressed his gratitude for the support he received from his family.

On a related note, in his family background, Traffic Inspector Ranjeet Singh passed down not only the legacy of wearing the khaki uniform but also the art of marksmanship to his son. Head Constable Shubham is also a talented marksman, and he has been promoted from Constable to Head Constable due to his remarkable performance in shooting. The Himachal Pradesh Police Shooting Club congratulated ASI Ranjeet Singh on his achievement.
