Himachal Pradesh Police Band Achieves Records

Shimla, September 6: Approximately 17 years ago, the Himachal Pradesh Police Orchestra Band had no musical instruments in their possession. However, today, they have secured a place in the ‘Asia Book of Records and ‘India Book of Records.’

You might wonder how this record was achieved. This marks the first time that a police force from any state in India not only participated in the talent show ‘Hunarbaaz Desh Ki Shaan’ but also gave presentations continuously for nearly three months. Additionally, they secured a place in the show’s finals.

In this renowned show, the Himachal Pradesh Police Band presented performances continuously for nearly three months, earning praise from all across the country. Their exceptional talent led them to reach the finals. Recently, in the capital city, officers and personnel of the Himachal Pradesh Police were honored with the DGP Disc Award for their outstanding service.

During this event, the State Governor, Shiv Pratap Shukla, presented the ‘Asia and India Book of Records’ to Band Incharge Vijay Kumar. The band also received medals during this ceremony. The Director General of Police (DGP), Sanjay Kundu, was also present at the event.
