3 persons arrested under NDPS Act in Kangra

Dharamshala, Mar 6 – Kangra police has arrested three persons falling under three different police stations in Kàngra district when police patrolling party recovered 35.21 grams of charas and 20.86 grams of Heroin from their possession and registered three cases under different sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances ( NDPS) Act, police said here today.
Senior Superintendent of Police Kangra Kaushal Sharma told UNI today that one accused person identified as
Sachin Dhawan resident of village Gaggal was arrested under section 20 – 61-85 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances ( NDPS) Act following seizure of 35.21 grams of charas from his possession at Upper Chaitroo near the Rain Shelter falling under Gaggal police station in this district.
SSP said that one more person identified as Rahul Baba resident of Guru Nanak Nagar Amritsar, was arrested under section 21- 61-85 of NDPS Act at Amaihad falling under Haripur Police station following seizure of 14.27 grams of Heroin from his possession .
Meanwhile SSP further said that police arrested Ashish Kumar resident of Bindraban Palampur at Lower Mainja falling under Palampur police station under section 21-61-85 of NDPS Act after 6.59 grams of Heroin was recovered from his possession.
