2 min readChandigarh, October 5 – In a remarkable initiative to raise awareness about blood donation, Ramlal Sharma, an esteemed member of the Friends to Help Mission, is embarking on a journey to conquer Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest peak. Inspired by the “Selfie with Blood Group” campaign initiated by Friends to Help Mission since 2015, Ramlal Sharma aims to capture a selfie with his blood group marker at the summit, with the objective of setting a world record.
Friends to Help Mission, a nationwide blood donation campaign recognized by the United Nations Volunteers, was founded by Tanuj Goyal. Since its inception in 2015, the organization has tirelessly worked to connect over 300,000 free blood donors with those in need. The primary mission of the organization is to bridge the gap between patients and blood donors while fostering a sense of unity and support within the community.
Under the umbrella of Friends to Help Mission, various blood donation awareness campaigns, including the “Blood Donor Jodo Campaign” and the innovative “Selfie with Blood Group,” have been conducted regularly to encourage individuals to join this life-saving cause.
