Two loss-making HP Tourism units shut, one leased to pvt party: Dy CM
2 min readShimla, Apr 4 – Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation had to shut down two hotels and one had to be leased out as 30 hotels are making loss for the state government company.
This was stated by the Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri while replying to a query by Congress member Sudhir Sharma during the question hours.
Mukesh Agnihotri said HPTDC has constructed Angler Bunglaw at Katrai in District Kullu in the last three years and it was leased out since April 8, 2021 onwards. He said due to leasing out of this hotel HPTDC earned Rs 3,54822 out of lease amount till Jan 31, 2023.
Minister also said currently thirty hotel units of HPTDC are running in loss. Dy CM said HPTDC unit at Sadhupul under Chail tourist resort was running at a loss of Rs 4.04 lakh from April 2022 to Jan 1 ,2023 and Café Shivalik at Parwanoo also reported loss of Rs 41,000 have been closed since Covid period.
Minister said the loss making HPTDC units include Transport Wing, Shimla (Rs-48.36 lakh) , Shivalik, Parwanoo (Rs-44.07lakh), Meghdoot, Kiarighat (Rs-40.82 lakh), Kunal, Dharamshala (Rs-34.47 lakh) Hadimba, Manali (Rs-27.22 lakh) Baghal, Darlaghat(Rs -26.92 lakh) Sarvari, Kullu (Rs-25.02 lakh) Suket, Mandi ( Rs-24.58 lakh) Uhal Jogindernagar (Rs-22.74 lakh) Silvermoon, Kullu, (Rs -19.21 lakh), Café Monal, Kullu (Rs-17.07 lakh) Chanshal, Rohru (Rs-15.86 lakh) Yamuna, Poanta (Rs-12.76 lakh), Apple Blossom, Fagu (Rs-9.55 lakh), Café Satluj, Rampur (Rs-9.30 lakh) Yatri Niwas, Chamundaji (Rs -8.44 lakh) Café Lalit, Kufri (Rs 7.09), Mamleshwar, Chindi (Rs-6.51 lakh) Nupur, (Rs -4.84 lakh), Iravati, Chamba (Rs-4.17 lakh) Kashmir House, Dharamshala(Rs -3.46 lakh) Kinner Kailash, Kalpa (Rs-2.85 lakh) Tourist Inn, Rajgarh (Rs-2.55 lakh) Chintpurni, Bharwain Rs-2.27 lakh) Neugal, Palampur (Rs-2.16 lakh) Chandrabhaga, Keylong (Rs -1.79 lakh) Maharana Partap,Pongdam (Rs-1.34 lakh) and Raviview, Chamba (Rs -0.49 lakh).
