Two Drug Peddlers Arrested in Paonta Sahib with Charas

Police in Paonta Sahib, Sirmaur district, apprehended two drug peddlers from Uttarakhand with 46 grams of charas. Acting on a tip-off, the Puruwala police set up a checkpoint on Bhungani Road, intercepting two suspects traveling from Uttarakhand.
The accused, identified as 27-year-old Anil Verma of Chakrata and 29-year-old Rakesh of Lakhwar in Dehradun district, were found in possession of the contraband during a search. DSP Manvendra Thakur confirmed that an FIR has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
