Three-Day Future Youth Leaders Bootcamp Concludes

SHIMLA, Aug. 7: The three-day Future Youth Leaders Bootcamp, organised under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports’ flagship initiative MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat), concluded successfully at the State Institute of Health and Family Welfare (SIHFW), Parimahal, Shimla, on Thursday.
Held from August 5 to 7, the intensive leadership development programme brought together 35 selected youth participants from Shimla district with the objective of strengthening leadership abilities, communication skills, policy awareness, community engagement, and social responsibility in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
On the concluding day, all participants presented their Leadership Action Plans, outlining initiatives to promote social awareness, youth participation, healthcare, education, environmental conservation, and community development in their respective areas.
During the bootcamp, experts from the Heartfulness Institute—Dr. Amarjeet Singh, Babli Kanwar, and Manoj Gupta—conducted sessions on leadership development, effective communication, and the role of meditation in personal growth.
Mamta Paul, District Programme Officer, Women and Child Development Department, Shimla, briefed participants on various government welfare schemes, while Dr. Anita from the National Health Mission encouraged participants to join the TB Mukt Bharat Campaign as Nikshay Mitras. All participants were registered under the initiative and were sensitised on promoting health and social welfare programmes within their communities.
The valedictory function was attended by Sachin Sharma, IAS, Additional District Magistrate, Shimla, as the chief guest. He distributed certificates to the participants, appreciated their Leadership Action Plans, and encouraged them to become catalysts for positive social change and nation-building.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Vipin Kumar, Deputy Director, MY Bharat, Shimla, who congratulated the participants on successfully completing the bootcamp. He described the initiative as a nationwide effort to nurture future leaders capable of driving meaningful change in their communities and contributing to the vision of a developed India by 2047.
