THDC India Limited Honoured with Rajbhasha Jyoti Shield by Ministry of Power

Rishikesh, June 19, 2025 — THDC India Limited has been awarded the prestigious Rajbhasha Jyoti Shield by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, for outstanding implementation of the Official Language Policy during 2023–24. The award was presented by the Hon’ble Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Manohar Lal, to THDC Chairman & Managing Director Shri Rajeev Vishnoi and Director (Personnel) Shri Shailendra Singh during the Hindi Advisory Committee meeting.
Union Minister of State for Power Shri Shripad Naik, Power Secretary Shri Pankaj Agarwal (IAS), Chief Engineer (Rajbhasha) Shri Dheeraj Kumar Srivastava, and other key officials and dignitaries from various PSUs under the Ministry were also present.
CMD Shri Rajeev Vishnoi congratulated all THDC employees and stated that consistent dedication is the key to success in any field. He emphasized that THDC is committed not only to accelerating its business operations but also to fulfilling its constitutional and statutory responsibilities with sincerity.
Director (Personnel) Shri Shailendra Singh highlighted that THDC achieved the highest score among all entries submitted by PSUs under the Ministry of Power. Notably, THDC had earlier received the First Rajbhasha Kirti Award from the Ministry of Home Affairs on September 14, 2024, presented by Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. THDC also received the First Nagar Rajbhasha Vaijayanti Award during the January 29, 2025 meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Haridwar.
During the meeting, various house journals published by PSUs under the Ministry were released, including the 35th issue of THDC’s Hindi magazine Pahal.
