Solan DC Interacts with BPL Families

Directs Officials to Ensure Timely Delivery of Welfare Benefits

Solan, August 12: Deputy Commissioner Solan Manmohan Sharma said the contribution of government officials and employees is crucial in ensuring that welfare schemes reach eligible and needy beneficiaries effectively.

He was presiding over an interaction programme with BPL families organised under the Chief Minister’s “Apna Parivar Sukhi Parivar” initiative in Development Block Dharampur.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officials to address every complaint and demand raised by citizens with due seriousness and ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government schemes in a timely and transparent manner. He also instructed officials to submit action-taken reports on the grievances received during the programme to the Deputy Commissioner’s office at the earliest.

Manmohan Sharma said the state government’s objective is to ensure effective delivery of welfare schemes to poor and needy families. He directed officials to organise awareness camps regularly so that eligible families remain informed about the schemes and benefits available to them.

He said such programmes provide an important platform for direct interaction between the administration and BPL families and help facilitate the prompt resolution of their grievances.

The Deputy Commissioner personally interacted with the BPL families and listened in detail to their problems, complaints and demands. He directed the concerned officials to take prompt action on the issues raised.

During the programme, the gathering was also provided information about various government schemes and programmes related to housing, employment, social security, agriculture, labour welfare and other areas.
