Proposes Grand Yoga Event on International Yoga Day
Shimla, May 19 : Today, senior RSS spokesperson Shrinivas Murthy met with the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shiv Pratap Shukla, and briefed him about the ongoing activities of Yoga Bharati in Himachal. Additionally, he proposed organizing a grand yoga event to commemorate the upcoming International Yoga Day, which was graciously accepted by His Excellency.
With nearly 50 years of experience as an RSS spokesperson, Murthy is also associated with Yoga Bharati as its founder. During the meeting, they discussed various ongoing activities of Yoga Bharati and extended an invitation for the Governor to visit the Madhav Shristi premises in Solan.
Governor Shukla commended the work being done by Yoga Bharati and assured full support and cooperation from the state government for any assistance needed by the organization’s members.
Accompanying Murthy were Gaurav Sharma, Meenakshi Sood (Chairperson), Narendra Sood, Deepak Thakur, and Narendra Kanwar, representing the organization.
