Rajesh Dharmani Inaugurates Newly Built Science Block Worth ₹1.58 Crore at Kapahda School

Ghumarwin (Bilaspur), November 30:

Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani inaugurated the newly constructed Science Block at Government Senior Secondary School, Kapahda, built at a cost of ₹1.58 crore. Equipped with modern facilities, the new building is expected to significantly enhance the quality of science education in the region.

Dharmani also attended the Cluster-Level Annual Prize Distribution Function as Chief Guest, where around 1,200 students from 11 schools under the Kapahda cluster participated. These included schools from Kapahda, Mudkhar, Galiyun, Kathlag, Chhat, Sohal, Palasla, Kallar, Adroli, Chhanjyar and Kotla.

Addressing students, teachers and parents, Dharmani highlighted that no work in life is big or small; what matters is dedication, sincerity and hard work. He stated that every child possesses unique talent, and it is the responsibility of teachers and parents to identify and nurture it. He emphasised that education should aim at holistic development, not just acquiring certificates.

Dharmani announced that Kapahda School will be affiliated with CBSE, enabling rural students to access better academic opportunities. He reiterated that talent is abundant in rural areas, and children only need proper guidance and exposure.

Expressing concern over the growing shortage of skilled manpower, he urged all stakeholders to focus on developing communication skills, stage presence and confidence among children. He stressed the need to provide more opportunities for public speaking to overcome stage fear and bring out hidden abilities.

Congratulating the school on the new Science Block, Dharmani noted that the State Government is continuously strengthening educational infrastructure. He shared that 100 government schools are being affiliated with CBSE, and English-medium education has been introduced to empower rural students with quality learning.

The Minister honoured meritorious students, including Hetal, who topped the district with 96%, and Varsha, who scored 97% in Class 10. Students from various schools were also awarded for their achievements during the function.

The event began with a ceremonial welcome by Principal Chaman and other school heads, followed by detailed presentations of annual activities. NCC, NSS and Scout–Guide cadets presented an impressive march-past, while students showcased vibrant cultural performances.
