Projects Worth Rs. 24.70 cr. in Sundernagar Vidhan Sabha dedicated by CM

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stones and inaugurated various developmental projects worth about Rs 24.70 crore in Sundernagar Vidhan Sabha area of Mandi district through video conferencing from Shimla today.
Chief Minister inaugurated Science Laboratory building of Government Senior Secondary School Nehri in the area constructed by spending an amount of Rs 1.15 crore.
Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stone of Krangal-Kindar road to be constructed at a cost of Rs 13.73 crore under PMGSY. This would benefit people of about six Panchayats of the area. He also laid foundation of ITI building Nehri to be constructed by spending an amount of Rs 7.94 crore. This ITI would have trades of Electrician, Turner, Plumber, Fashion Design and Technology and Information Technology. He also laid foundation stones of Forest Rest House Nehri to be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.58 crore and Chief Minister Lok Bhawan at Nehri to be built by spending an amount of Rs 30 lakh.
While addressing the virtual rally from Shimla, Chief Minister said that all the developmental projects foundation stone of which was laid by him today would be completed within the stipulated time period. He said that the paucity of funds would not come in way of development so that the people could harp the benefits of development.
Jai Ram Thakur said that developmental projects worth Rs 500 crore were being executed in Sundernagar Vidhan Sabha area of Mandi district. He said that these projects include Rs 200 crore schemes of Jal Shakti department and Rs 100 crore projects of PWD.
Chief Minister said that Nehri area remained neglected in matter of development during the tenure of the previous Government. He said that now the State Government was laying special stress on development of this area. He said that the ITI Building of Nehri would go a long way in providing employment oriented education to the youth of the area. He said that the Chief Minister Lok Bhawan to be constructed at Nehri would be an additional source of income to the Panchayat Samiti.
Jai Ram Thakur said that Sundernagar Vidhan Sabha area was fast forging ahead on path of progress and prosperity. He said that it was for the first time that Rs. 219 crore was allocated under Central Road Fund (CRF) for construction of road from Salapar to Tattapani, which was the biggest amount for any single road in the State.
Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister has visited the State four times during the last about three years, which shows the love and bonding he shares with the State and its people. He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the Atal Tunnel Rohtang of Rs. 3300 crore to the Nation which would open new horizons in matter for development for people of the landlocked tribal areas. He said that several historic initiatives were taken by the Union Government which has paved a way for a strong and vibrant India. He also detailed various developmental schemes launched by the State Government for welfare of the people of the State.
Jai Ram Thakur said that State Government was ensuring various steps for mitigation of the impact of corona pandemic in the State. He said that the first and foremost task before the Government was to ensure check on spread of this virus. He said that to monitor the situation he held 35 video conferencing with the Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police and Chief Medical Officers of the State. He said that necessary directions were given to the district officers to take steps to mitigate the crisis. He said that 14 video conferences were also held with the elected representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions so as to ensure people’s participation in effectively combating the crisis.
