One Nomination Rejected, 136 Valid for Urban Local Body Polls in Una

Una, May 04: In scrutiny of nomination papers for urban local body elections in Una district, one candidate’s nomination has been rejected, while 136 have been found valid.
District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal informed that a total of 137 candidates had filed nominations. During verification, the nomination of Sandeep Kumar from Ward No. 6 of Amb Municipal Council was rejected due to incomplete eligibility-related documents.
Candidates can withdraw their nominations till May 6, 3 PM, after which election symbols will be allotted. Polling will be held on May 17 from 7 AM to 3 PM, and counting will take place on May 31.
