New beginnings at Shoolini: Students encouraged to explore and innovate

Shoolini University welcomed its newly admitted students with an engaging first day of the induction programme, encouraging them to make the most of their university journey by exploring new interests, developing skills, building meaningful relationships and taking responsibility for their choices.
The programme began with a campus buddy experience and review led by the Director of Sustainability, Mrs Poonam Nanda, who welcomed students and encouraged them to make the most of the opportunities available on campus. She reminded students that the world is waiting for them to create and build new things and urged them to keep learning and sharpening their skills.
Chancellor Prof. P.K. Khosla highlighted the importance of personality development, strong principles and perseverance. He encouraged students to remain honest, determined and patient while pursuing their ambitions and to have the courage to try something new. The session also included the Shoolini Oath, through which students pledged to uphold the values and responsibilities associated with being members of the university community.
Pro-Chancellor Prof. Vishal Anand spoke about the broader purpose of Shoolini University, identifying research, learning and social impact as key areas of focus. He introduced students to initiatives such as the Startup Marathon and the work of the Pehal Foundation, while encouraging them to remain curious about emerging opportunities. He also urged students to be excited about learning new things, embrace artificial intelligence and actively participate in the university’s research and innovation ecosystem.
In his video message, Vice Chancellor Prof. Atul Khosla encouraged students to become good human beings, responsible learners and active contributors to the vision of a Viksit Bharat. He asked them to work with dedication and hard work to achieve their goals, recognise their potential and maintain high standards in life.
Prof. Nishtha Shukla Anand, Trustee Shoolini University Dean Faculty Media and Liberal Arts , Director Marketing and Communication at Shoolini University, introduced students to Shoolini Upskill, an initiative designed to encourage learning beyond their core academic programmes. Through the initiative, students can explore short courses in areas such as technology, business, finance, design, languages and communication.
Prof. Ashoo Khosla, Chief Learning Officer, introduced the Shoolini Way of Learning, highlighting the role of university in helping students become independent learners and discover their capabilities. She explained that university life was not limited to securing a job or earning a degree, but was also about making friends, discovering oneself, learning from mentors and developing the ability to make informed decisions. She encouraged students to become good learners, build their own body of work and use their university experience to develop the capabilities needed for the future.
The first day of induction brought together messages centred on learning, exploration, responsibility, innovation and personal growth. Students were encouraged to use their university years not only to earn a degree but also to discover their potential, acquire new skills, build strong values and prepare themselves to contribute meaningfully to society.
