MSMEs Urged to Embrace Industry 4.0 at Shoghi Awareness Session

A Smart MSME awareness and capacity-building programme was organised at the Business Promotion Centre in Shoghi, Shimla, to encourage micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to adopt digital transformation and advanced manufacturing technologies.

Experts highlighted the benefits of Industry 4.0, automation, the Internet of Things (IoT) and smart manufacturing in improving productivity and competitiveness. Entrepreneurs were also briefed on government support schemes and technology upgradation initiatives.

A dedicated session on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal informed participants about expanding business opportunities through public procurement. More than 30 entrepreneurs and industry representatives attended the programme, engaging in discussions on AI, digital transformation and government-backed MSME development initiatives.
