Mock Poll on EVMs for Urban Local Body Elections Tomorrow in Una

Una, May 08: A mock poll on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and VVPATs for the Urban Local Body Elections-2026 will be conducted on Saturday, May 09, in the presence of authorised representatives of political parties in Una district.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar informed that the First Level Checking (FLC) of EVMs and VVPAT machines was completed successfully on Friday in the presence of political party representatives.
He said that as part of the mock poll exercise, 1,000 votes will be cast on 10 percent of the total machines to verify their functioning and ensure transparency and reliability in the election process.
The mock poll will begin at 7 am in the meeting hall on the fourth floor of the District Election Office, Una. Representatives of political parties will be able to observe the entire process.
The ADC appealed to presidents and secretaries of all recognised political parties to attend the process personally or depute authorised representatives for the exercise.
