Flouts Multiple Regulations
Mandi, May 2, 2025 – A shocking case of alleged corruption has surfaced in Mandi, where the Assistant Commissioner of Food Safety is accused of operating an oil factory under his wife’s name, blatantly violating government service rules. Government employees are strictly prohibited from engaging in businesses related to their official domain, with legal consequences including up to one year of imprisonment.
Whistleblower Parmjeet Dhatwalia has revealed that the factory is registered under a basic annual fee of just ₹100, instead of possessing a valid license costing ₹2000–₹5000 as required for oil-based industries. According to food safety norms, such factories must also maintain an in-house lab and employ a qualified technician — conditions that were reportedly ignored.
Dhatwalia further claimed to possess key documents related to the controversial “Bhabita Tandon” case that could expose deeper layers of corruption. He intends to hand these over to the Health Secretary soon.
Urging public support, Dhatwalia called on citizens not to tolerate corruption and to expose those complicit. Complaints or tips can be shared via WhatsApp at 8800266727.
