Major fire broke out in Shimla’s Hotel

A fire incident took place in the top floor of Capital hotel near Fingask Estate at 11:15 p.m on 28/10/2020.

After receiving the call 4 water tenders and 2 QRV along with 25 fire fighters in the supervision of of Divisional Fire Officer D.C Sharma and a S.F.O Sudhakar Prasad immediately rushed to the spot.After reaching the spot it was seen that flame was raising very high and fire was spreading in the entire floor. After 1.5 hours of struggled fire was controlled.

Cause of fire is still unknown. Loss from fire is 2 lac and saved property 2.5 crore approximately. No life loss is reported. This area is a hotel hub, if the fire was not controlled in time, adjoining hotel would have caught fire and life and property loss would have been more.
