Lahaul-Spiti Artists Invited to Register by June 30 for Cultural Talent Assessment
1 min readKullu, 4 June 2025 — The Language and Culture Department, District Lahaul-Spiti, has invited applications from folk artists in singing, dancing, instrumental music, theatre, and other traditional art forms for talent assessment and registration.
District Language Officer Promila Guleria informed that this initiative aims to provide a platform to artists in state, national, and international fairs and festivals. The assessment will be conducted at the district headquarters in Keylong, and artists will be categorized based on their past performances.
Artists with performances in prime slots at state-level fairs (7 times), national-level (5 times), or international level (3 times), as well as winners or runners-up of major TV shows like Indian Idol or Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, will be ranked in the top category.
Winners or runners-up of Himachal Youth Festival will be placed in the second category.
Interested artists must submit their application by June 30, 2025, via email to dlokullu52@gmail.com. A jury will evaluate the talent during the selection process.
