Many believe that traditions shackle us but one must remember that tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire. Keeping the same fire alive the members of Kal
ibari Temple performed the ritual pooja of Durga Visrajan here today at Tara Devi.
When Covid forced everything to stand still, yet it had no control over the devotion and cultural values. Today traditional visarjan was performed were only a handful of people participated. During this simple ceremony, people prayed for the blessing from ‘Ma’ for the safest of all.
The Kalash Poojan was done this year and each Kalash represented different idols that one usually sees during the regular Durga Pooja. The rich cultural celebration was definitely missed by people but still, there was no decline in their devotion. Keeping SOPs into consideration all the rituals were performed.
