Jaypee University Cadets Lead Dynamic HIV/AIDS Prevention Awareness Rally

Waknaghat, May 28, 2024– The cadets of Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, organized a highly impactful campaign focused on the prevention and awareness of HIV/AIDS. This event, held on May 5, 2024, underscored the university’s commitment to community health and social responsibility.
The day’s activities commenced at 8:30 AM with cadets assembling at the town square, marking the starting point of the awareness rally. This initiative aimed to educate the public, particularly the youth, about the risks, prevention methods, and the crucial need to eliminate the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS.
Organized by the cadets of 1 HP BN NCC Solan, the HIV/AIDS Prevention and Awareness Rally featured several engaging activities designed to inform and involve the community. Participants carried banners and placards with powerful messages advocating for HIV/AIDS prevention and support. The rally began at the town square and concluded at the university gate, covering significant ground and reaching a broad audience.
Throughout the route, cadets performed street plays and delivered public addresses to debunk myths, explain modes of HIV transmission, and promote preventive measures. They distributed informational pamphlets to the public, providing essential details on HIV testing and care.
