1 min readSolan/BBN, November 30, 2024– Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur criticized the current state government’s handling of issues related to Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), stating that the government prioritizes the image of its leadership over addressing fundamental problems like poor bus services. He pointed out that the state government was more concerned with taking action against ordinary citizens than fixing pressing infrastructure issues. Thakur highlighted the government’s failure to tackle important problems and their focus on trivial matters like investigating the delivery of samosas to the Chief Minister.
He also criticized the government’s policies, alleging they have deceived the public, particularly the youth, by promising employment opportunities but instead creating more unemployment. Thakur called on the government to shift focus from image management to addressing the real issues of the people.
Thakur was speaking at the annual event of Tagore Vansthali Public School in Kuthad, where he emphasized that India’s youth bear the responsibility of realizing the nation’s goal of becoming developed by 2047. He also distributed awards to students for their academic achievements.
