Haroli, once facing a severe water scarcity, has now turned into a hub for cash crops, thanks to the significant improvements in irrigation facilities. Farmers in the region, who previously struggled with water shortages, now enjoy access to consistent irrigation, enabling them to cultivate a variety of cash crops and vegetables. This transformation has led to increased earnings for farmers and has helped them become self-sufficient.

Suman Lal, a farmer from Pubowal village, shared his gratitude, saying, “Earlier, our fields lacked water, and farming was reduced to little more than a patch of weeds. But now, with water available and the rise of cash crops, we are seeing substantial profits. Mukesh Ji’s efforts have truly transformed Haroli’s landscape and our future.”

Haroli MLA and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, who also oversees the Water Resources Department, has been instrumental in pushing for irrigation schemes that have dramatically improved the region’s agricultural potential. His visionary efforts have led to the development of multiple irrigation projects, bringing positive change to thousands of lives. The area now boasts extensive irrigation infrastructure, helping farmers diversify their crops and increase their income.

In the past year alone, irrigation schemes worth ₹9.71 crore were completed, covering 347.50 hectares of land. Further projects worth ₹32.35 crore are underway, and proposals for irrigation plans worth ₹300 crore have been made. These efforts are expected to benefit thousands of acres, transforming farming into a profitable venture for the community.
