Shimla, 9 July 2025:
In a significant move to strengthen the financial health of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) and enhance tourism services, the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has approved leasing out 14 of its hospitality and tourism units on an **Operation & Maintenance (O\&M)** basis. This decision was taken during the Cabinet meeting held on 28 June 2025, following recommendations of the Board of Directors (BoD) and earlier advisories from the Council of Ministers on 6 May 2025.

The following tourism units will be leased for operation and maintenance:

1. Hotel Hill Top, Swarghat
2. Hotel Lakeview, Bilaspur
3. Hotel Bhagal, Darlaghat
4. Wayside Amenity, Bhararighat
5. Hotel Mamleshwar, Chindi
6. Hotel Apple Blossom, Fagu
7. Hotel Shiwalik, Parwanoo
8. Hotel Giriganga, Kharapathar
9. Hotel Chanshal, Rohru
10. Tourist Inn, Rajgarh
11. Hotel Sarvari, Kullu
12. Hotel Old Roscommon, Kasauli
13. Kashmir House, Dharamshala
14. Hotel Uhl, Jogindernagar

The move is expected to improve the quality of services for tourists visiting Himachal Pradesh and ensure optimum utilization of these properties. The HPTDC has been tasked with implementing this decision within the next three months, preferably by September 2025.

The state government believes that leasing these properties on an O\&M basis will allow private operators with hospitality expertise to bring in efficiencies, invest in service improvement, and enhance the overall tourist experience in the state.

The Managing Director, HPTDC, has been directed to take necessary action and submit an action taken report to the government within the stipulated timeframe.
