HPTDC Explores Collaboration with IRCTC to Boost Tourism Occupancy and Revenue

New Delhi, May 08: In a significant move aimed at enhancing tourism outreach and improving occupancy rates, a meeting was held today at the Corporate Office of [IRCTC Ltd.](https://www.irctc.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) in New Delhi to explore future collaboration opportunities between the (HPTDC) and IRCTC.

The meeting was attended by senior officials of IRCTC including Rahul Himalian, Director (Tourism & Marketing), Promila Gupta, Group General Manager (Tourism), and Pradeep Dhiman, General Manager (Tourism).

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between HPTDC and IRCTC in line with the directions of HPTDC Chairman RS Bali. The proposed collaboration is expected to help increase occupancy in HPTDC hotels and tourism properties while enhancing the corporation’s visibility across India through IRCTC’s extensive national network.

During the meeting, possibilities were also explored to market and sell HPTDC cards through the IRCTC portal, which could significantly widen the corporation’s reach among domestic travellers.

At a time when HPTDC is facing financial challenges, such strategic partnerships are being viewed as important steps toward strengthening revenue generation and expanding tourism promotion initiatives. Managing Director, HPTDC, is currently in Delhi exploring tie-ups with various institutions and corporate houses that can contribute towards increasing occupancy and improving the corporation’s financial position.

As a Government of India PSU, IRCTC’s vast tourism and travel platform is expected to provide valuable support in helping HPTDC enhance its tourism footprint and generate additional revenue opportunities.
