Hamirpur , Oct 7 – Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur has summoned another cabinet meeting, the third during the last fortnight to give approval for the announcements made by him in various functions and as per the demand of the people. The agenda for the meeting has yet not been fixed. However, there are indications that all such issues that the ministers wanted to finalise will be discussed in the meeting, said to be the last one of the present government before the next state assembly elections. It is said till now the state government has not been able to formulate a policy for NHM employees. NHM personnel are demanding a policy on the lines of Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan employees, but this demand has not been fulfilled yet. It can be brought up for discussion in the cabinet to be held on October 11. Moreover, the Zila Parishad employees are also demanding to accommodate them in the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Department. In the month of August, Zila Parishad employees had also done a pen down strike on this demand. This can be discussed in the cabinet. There are also reports that the state cabinet may also take some decision regarding the old pension scheme that has been haunting the BJP before the elections and it may become a major problem for the party in the coming elections, if it was not restored. Notably, the Congress party and the Aam AAdmi party have declared to resort to the old pension scheme if they were voted to power in the coming elections.
