Holiday Declared in All Government Schools on August 17
Shimla, August 15, 2026: The Himachal Pradesh government has declared August 17, 2026 (Monday) as a holiday in all government schools across the state.
The holiday has been announced in recognition of the enthusiastic participation of students and teachers in Independence Day celebrations held at the school, subdivision, district and state levels.
All Deputy Directors of School Education and government senior secondary school complex principals have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the order.
