Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri Leads Independence Day Celebrations in Chamba
Chamba, August 15, 2026: The district-level Independence Day समारोह was celebrated with enthusiasm at the historic Chaugan in Chamba. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri hoisted the national flag and took the salute of the march past.
The parade featured 17 contingents from the district police, Forest Department, Home Guards, NCC, SPOs, NSS, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Anganwadi workers, Nursing College, Institute of Hotel Management and other institutions. The grand parade was led by Lady Police Inspector Pankaj.
Students from various educational institutions presented colourful cultural performances showcasing patriotic spirit and India’s rich cultural heritage.
On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri honoured officers, employees, organisations and social workers with certificates of appreciation for their outstanding contributions.
