Heroin Seized in Jubbal; Accused Arrested Following Tip-off

Shimla, 4 June 2025 — An FIR No. 41/2025 has been registered under Sections 21 and 25 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Jubbal after 22.64 grams of heroin (chitta) was recovered from a vehicle during a late-night checkpoint operation in Anti Bazaar on 2 June 2025.

The operation, led by SI Kuldeep Singh of the Detection Cell, Sub-Division Rohru, was launched following a tip-off regarding the accused, Anil Kumar, son of Bishan Singh, a resident of Village Kaina. At around 10:10 PM, his vehicle (HP-10B-4609) was intercepted, and the contraband was found concealed in the dashboard.

Anil Kumar was arrested on 3 June and produced in court the next day, where he was remanded to police custody till 6 June 2025. Further investigation is ongoing to trace links and sources.
