Government starts online booking facility for 21-bed dormitory at Circuit House Hamirpur

A Spokesperson of the state government today here informed that the government has started online booking facility for the 21-bed dormitory at Circuit House Hamirpur from 20 May, 2026 by integrating it with the existing HIM Atithi online booking platform.
The spokesperson informed that a nominal charge of Rs. 100 per bed has been fixed for Himachali residents, while non-Himachali residents will be charged Rs. 200 per bed. The facility has been introduced particularly keeping in view the needs of students visiting Hamirpur for competitive examinations and other educational purposes, enabling them to avail affordable and convenient accommodation through online booking.
The spokesperson informed that the state government had already launched online booking facility for government rest houses for tourists and private individuals from May, 2025 on 50 percent advance payment basis to make government accommodation facilities more accessible, transparent and citizen-friendly.
The spokesperson further informed that the online booking initiative has significantly improved accessibility and availability of rest houses and circuit houses for tourists, students and the general public. The occupancy rate of these facilities, along with government revenue, has also registered a substantial increase.
