Government College Khad Indoor Stadium to be Ready in Two Months: Mukesh Agnihotri
Modern Sports Facilities, Multipurpose Hall, Fitness Centre, Yoga and Meditation Hall Under Construction
Haroli (Una), August 17, 2026: Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri has said that the under-construction indoor stadium at Government College Khad, being developed at a cost of ₹13.72 crore, is expected to be completed within the next two months. He inspected the project on Monday and reviewed the progress of construction work.
Agnihotri said the completion of the indoor stadium would provide students of the college and young people from the surrounding area with modern sports and fitness facilities. The facility is being equipped with a multipurpose hall, basketball, badminton and volleyball facilities, a boxing ring, fitness centre, yoga and meditation hall, and a cafeteria.
He emphasised that sports, physical fitness and mental well-being are integral to the overall development of students. The new facility will provide them with opportunities to participate in sports and fitness activities alongside their academic pursuits.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the Haroli area is witnessing continuous strengthening of both educational and sports infrastructure. The indoor stadium at Government College Khad is an important project aimed at expanding sports facilities in the region.
He said the government is committed to ensuring that students have access to modern facilities for sports and other extracurricular activities within their own area. Better sports infrastructure, he added, would help young people develop their talent and create opportunities to pursue their ambitions.
Agnihotri directed officials to complete the remaining construction work within the stipulated timeline while maintaining strict quality standards. He said that once the stadium is completed in approximately two months, students will begin benefiting from its modern facilities.
