Foot March Organized for Corona Pandemic Prevention Awareness

Shimla, Jan 6 – The Himachal Pradesh Secretariat Services Sports Control Board here today organised an awareness foot march to prevent the Corona pandemic on the occasion of birthday of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. The march was flagged off by Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj.

This corona prevention awareness foot march started from the Secretariat complex via mall road, Ridge. The participants gave a message about prevention from ocorona pandemic through various slogans related to prevention of corona pandemic such as Do Gaj Doori Hai Jaroori, Use Mask etc to the general public.

On this occasion Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj while congratulating Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on his birthday said that it was a matter of pride that the state has got his able leadership, who being himself from the rural background was well aware of the problems of the common people of the state.

He said that almost one year has passed with Corona pandemic and we had witnessed the situations like lockdown but the state government had taken various effective steps to tackle and save the common people from the effects of this global pandemic. He said that the people of the country and state had transformed the challenges created by Corona pandemic into opportunities. He said that when in 1918 similar pandemic was spread in the country which killed about two crore people and it took many years to prepare medicine for the treatment of pandemic at that time.

Urban development Minister said that to tackle the corona pandemic the scientist of the world as well as country had gained a significant achievement by developing the vaccine within a year. He said that it was a matter of pride for the country that the scientists of India had simultaneously developed two vaccines for corona pandemic. He said that soon the state would also get this vaccine for corona pandemic.
