Farewell Party ‘Rukhsat’ Organized by LR B.Ed College, Solan
2 min readSolan, June 8: LR B.Ed College, Solan recently held a heartfelt farewell party, ‘Rukhsat’, for its second-year students. The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Kalpana Parmar, an internationally renowned hockey player and runner. Special guests Ved Arya and Kishan Lal, Deputy Director of Anti-Corruption of India, also attended the event. The program began with a Saraswati Vandana, setting an auspicious tone for the festivities.
Students showcased their talents in a variety of performances, including songs, dances, personality development activities, and sports, earning high praise for their excellent presentations. Highlights of the event included the crowning of Mr. and Miss Farewell, Nilaksh and Devyani Bahl, respectively. Other titles awarded were Mr. and Miss Talent to Saloni and Chetan, Mr. Entertainer to Ayush, Miss Entertainer to Bharti, Mr. Handsome to Sachin, and Miss Beautiful to Simran. The selection process featured a catwalk, talent showcase, and a Q&A session, judged by teachers Vaishali, Neha, and Sameeksha.
Principal Dr. Nisha commended the students for their sincere efforts and encouraged them to become multi-talented, exemplary teachers. She extended her best wishes for their future endeavors.
In her concluding speech, Chief Guest Kalpana Parmar inspired students to recognize and act upon their talents. She shared tips for enhancing self-confidence and emphasized the importance of discipline, integrity, and honesty in life. Her words were aimed at preparing the aspiring teachers for their future roles.
The farewell ceremony was attended by LR’s Admin Head Gaurav Sharma, Polytechnic Principal Kanchan Bala Jaswal, and all B.Ed faculty and non-teaching staff. The event was a memorable occasion, filled with emotional goodbyes and well-wishes for the graduating students.
