Ensure Free and Fair Voting: Harikrishna Himral Urges BLA Members

Shimla, May 31, 2024: Himachal Pradesh Congress Party Vice President Harikrishna Himral chaired a crucial meeting at the party headquarters, Rajiv Bhawan, to discuss preparations for the upcoming elections. During the meeting, Himral spoke with block presidents and booth agents via telephone, seeking reports on their readiness for the June 1st voting day. He issued firm instructions for proactive responsibilities to be upheld to ensure smooth and transparent voting.

Himral emphasized the importance of promptly reporting any issues encountered at the booth level to the headquarters in Shimla, ensuring that voters can exercise their democratic rights without hindrance. He urged members to provide all necessary assistance to help voters reach the booths.

In the meeting held at the party headquarters, Himral praised the efforts of the war room, media coordinators, legal cell, and social media officials for their roles in the campaign. He acknowledged the significant contributions of all office bearers in both the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, expressing confidence that their efforts would lead to a Congress victory.

He commended the hard work of all members and called for the same level of energy and enthusiasm in the upcoming voting on June 1st and the vote counting on June 4th. Himral expressed satisfaction with the work done by the war room members.

During the meeting, the Congress legal cell reported filing numerous complaints with the Election Commission against BJP leaders for violating the Model Code of Conduct. They provided a detailed account of their activities during the election campaign to the Vice President.

Harikrishna Himral concluded by expressing his belief that the combined hard work of all members and the support of the voters would lead to historic victories for the Congress Party in all six by-elections and all four Lok Sabha seats in Himachal Pradesh.
