DPS Society Organises Two-Day Workshop on School Governance
Shimla, August 28 2026: The Delhi Public School Society organised a two-day workshop on “Foundations of School Governance” at the Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) in mid-August 2026, bringing together Pro Vice Chairpersons of DPS satellite schools for professional learning, dialogue and experience sharing.
Anil Walia, Pro Vice Chairman, DPS Shimla, actively participated in the workshop and contributed to the discussions and interactive sessions. The programme was chaired by Mr. V. K. Shunglu, Chairman, Delhi Public School Society, in the presence of Ms. Vrinda Sarup, Member, Delhi Public School Society and Chairperson, DPS Shimla.
The workshop focused on school governance, legal and regulatory compliance, statutory requirements, and the roles and responsibilities of school management. Participants exchanged experiences and best practices, facilitating peer learning and strengthening their understanding of effective school administration.
A round-table interaction with members of the Delhi Public School Society provided additional insights into responsible leadership, institutional governance and effective decision-making. The participants also visited DPS Knowledge Park-V, where they observed the institution’s infrastructure, administrative systems and day-to-day operations.
The workshop concluded with a valedictory ceremony and reflections on the two-day learning experience. The programme highlighted the importance of responsible governance, collaborative leadership, regulatory compliance and a shared commitment to institutional excellence and the continued growth of the DPS family.
