Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri Launches Projects Worth 96.32 Crore in Dalhousie

Chamba (Dalhousie), April 19: Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri inaugurated and laid foundation stones for three Jal Shakti Department projects worth ₹96.32 crore in the Dalhousie विधानसभा क्षेत्र.
The projects include inauguration of a ₹67.60 crore drinking water scheme (improvement and expansion) and a ₹25.70 crore augmentation scheme, along with the foundation stone of a ₹3 crore sewerage project. Addressing a public gathering, he reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to developing modern and robust water supply and sanitation infrastructure.
He stated that Dalhousie’s water supply capacity has been significantly enhanced—from 40 lakh litres per day to 120 lakh litres per day—with 220 km of pipelines laid and 26 storage tanks constructed. These projects will benefit the municipal area, cantonment, Air Force station, and nearby regions.
The Deputy CM also highlighted that works worth over ₹315 crore are currently in progress in the constituency and assured completion of the sewerage project by 2027. He further assured consideration of starting a Volvo bus service between Dalhousie and Pathankot.
