DC Gandharva Rathore Visits Progressive Farmer’s Fields, Reviews Innovative Multi-Crop Farming

Hamirpur, May 27: Deputy Commissioner Gandharva Rathore on Wednesday visited the home and agricultural fields of progressive farmer Parminder Singh Dadwal in Dosarka area near Hamirpur town to review his innovative and multi-crop farming practices.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner observed various crop nurseries, medicinal plants and multiple farming models being adopted by the farmer. Special attention was given to the creative use of bamboo, old pipes and other waste materials for plantation and agricultural purposes.

Appreciating the farmer’s innovative approach, Gandharva Rathore said that Parminder Singh Dadwal’s efforts in adopting multi-layer farming and effectively utilising waste material were highly commendable and could inspire other farmers in the region. He particularly praised the farmer’s “Waste to Plate” concept, under which discarded materials are being creatively reused in farming activities.

Project Director ATMA Hamirpur Rakesh Dhiman, Deputy Director Agriculture Dr. D.D. Sharma and other officials were also present during the visit.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the under-construction State Fertilizer Quality Control Laboratory being developed in the Agriculture Department premises near Hathli Khad. He reviewed the installation of modern laboratory equipment and discussed plans with departmental officials to make the laboratory operational in the coming weeks.
