DC Announces Rewards for Academic Excellence at Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony

Shimla, 23 November 2024 – The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony at Government Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Mashobra, was held on Saturday, with District Commissioner Anupam Kashyap as the chief guest. During the ceremony, the District Commissioner announced a reward of ₹50,000 for students securing a place in the State Merit List for class 10 and 12. Additionally, students who achieve more than 95% marks in the annual exams will receive ₹10,000 each. Kashyap also made a personal contribution of ₹50,000 to purchase costumes for the school’s cultural programs.
The District Commissioner emphasized the importance of education as the foundation for a successful future and encouraged students to focus on their studies. He also announced the establishment of a Digital Library in the school, aimed at providing students with access to a wide range of learning materials and competitive exam resources.
The ceremony saw awards presented to meritorious students across various categories, including academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. Students who excelled in district and state-level competitions were also recognized.
