Create Awareness Regarding Various Govt. Run Schemes Among Masses – Aditya Negi

Shimla, January 4 – The people of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and other allied professions in the district should be provided with real scale of finance so that the villagers can get maximum benefit from it. Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi expressed this view in a meeting organized by District Cooperative Bank in Rozan Hall of Deputy Commissioner Office here today.

He said that in order to enable people to get the benefits of various schemes being run by the state government in the most possible form, the concerned departments should make information available to the people after extensive publicity. He said that it should be our goal to extend these schemes towards the welfare of the people. He said that giving priority to the needy person in the society, give benefits of these schemes so that his economy can be strengthened.

He instructed all banks to provide loans and other facilities to the people in a timely and appropriate manner so that farmers, gardeners or cattle rearers and other people associated with schemes at the rural level can avail the benefits on time. He said that natural farming needs to be further increased in the district. Departments should work actively to give natural farming comprehensiveness. He also ordered banks that banks or departments should prepare an action plan for whatever effective action is required in this regard.

Special General Manager of the State Cooperative Bank, the convenor of the meeting, Visheshwar Sharma, said that on the basis of scale of finance in the district, various banks provide finance to farmers and gardeners for different crops. He informed that the report of the scale of finance set in the meeting will go to the state level technical committee for recommendation. He said that during this period the district mainly consists of various wheat, barley, maize, paddy, pulses, oil seeds, peas, cabbage, flower cabbage, capsicum, tomatoes, garlic, ginger while under the agricultural crops. Under apple, citrus fruit, almond, kiwi, khumani, palam, cherry, mango, pomegranate, guava, pear, etc. The scale of finance is determined. He informed that this scale of finance will be done for the year 2021-22.
