CM dedicates developmental projects worth Rs. 70 crore for Una Vidhan Sabha Area
6 min readChief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today dedicated and laid foundation stones of 45 developmental projects worth about Rs. 70 crore for Una Vidhan Sabha area of Una district through video conferencing from Shimla.
Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated 22 developmental projects which include Tourism Trade building in ITI Campus at Una constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.90 crore, 12 type-II quarters at IRB complex at Bangarh built at a cost of RS. 2.43 crore, Home Guard building 12th Battalian at Una constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.57 crore, Vigilance Office building at Una built at a cost of Rs. 2.06 crore, Rs. 2.40 crore six type-II quarters of Police Department at Una, Rs. 2.61 crore improvement and widening of roads in Lower Dehlan Panchayat under NABARD (Lower Dehlan to Badehar, Sudheyeans Pond to Basdehra, Link road to mohalla Chaudharian and link road to mohalla Mohantan), Rs. 51 lakh Barrack Block including internal WS and SI Boundary wall around barrack and armoury store and 3 No. Check Post, P/L interlocking tiles external WS and SI and construction of 50 user septic tank etc.
Chief Minister also dedicated Rs. 38 lakh tubewell at Dehlan near PHC, Rs. 37 lakh tubewell at Jalgran, Rs. 54 lakh Tubewell at Kuthar Kalan near Mohalla Bharwal, Rs. 49 lakh tubewell at Jankour near Gosadan, Rs. 48 lakh tubewell at Dehlan near Senior Secondary School, Rs. 47 lakh tubewell at Udiapur near Panchayat Ghar, Rs. 29 lakh Tubewell at Malahat, Rs. 94 lakh Water Supply Scheme to village Mehatpur and Jakhera, Rs. 70 lakh Water Supply Scheme to district Hospital Una, Rs. 41 lakh Water Supply Scheme to village Kuthar Khurad, in Una Tehsil, Rs. 36 lakh Water Supply Scheme to village Barsara in Tehsil Una, Rs. 1.16 crore Water Supply Scheme Santokhgarh town in Jattpur area, Rs. 75 lakh augmentation of Water Supply Scheme Dehlan (Brahma Nand), Rs. 54 lakh Tubewell at Dehlan Shokra, Rs. 52 lakh Water Supply Scheme to village Jalgran and Rs. 24 lakh Record Room at Forest Division Office, Una.
Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stones of 23 project including building of Government Senior Secondary School (Boys) at Una constructed at a cost of Rs. 8.80 crore, Rs. 89 lakh Community Hall at village Jhudowal, Rs. 53 lakh class rooms at Government Senior Secondary School Behdala, Rs. 79 lakh Assistant Engineer Office cum residential building Raipur Sahran at Dehlan, Rs. 4.21 crore 30 bedded CHC building at Basdehra, Rs. 46 lakh Lift Irrigation Scheme village Jhudowal, Rs. 50 lakh Lift Irrigation Scheme village Rampur, Rs. 68 lakh tubewell at village Badehar (Rampur Talai area), Rs. 71 lakh tubewell at Badehar (Mohalla Chilanwala), Rs. 49 lakh tubewell at Rampur Bela, Rs. 70 lakh Water Supply Scheme Malookpur Mazra and Rs. 5.73 crore functional household connection to left out households in Una constituency through retrofitting of existing schemes.
Chief Minister also performed foundation stone laying ceremonies of Rs. 11.93 crore new academic Block in Government Degree College, Una, Rs. 63 lakh building of Government Veterinary Hospital Basdehra, Rs. 62 lakh building of Government Veterinary Hospital Santokhgarh, Rs. 74 lakh Inspection Hut cum HPSIDC Division Office building in IA Mehatpur, Rs. 4.68 crore Block Development Office building, Una, Rs. 96 lakh parking near District Ayurvedic Hospital, Rs. 1.03 crore Vending Market Zone MC Una in Ward No. 3, near Zila Parishad Office, Una, Rs. 20 lakh Forest Check Post, Mehatpur, Rs. 15 lakh Type-II quarter at Forest Division, Una and Rs. 58 lakh Conference Hall in Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry Office, Una.
While addressing the public meeting through video conference from Shimla, Chief Minister said that Una district has played a major role during the turbulent times of Covid-19. He said that about 2.50 lakh people of the State stranded in different parts of the country were brought back to the State and majority of them were brought by train upto Una. He said that district administration has played major role in ensuring that the persons brought back were properly tested before allowing them to go home.
Jai Ram Thakur said that Rs. 450 crore would be spent on setting up the Satellite Center of PGI at Una. He said that Rs. 550 crore Indian Oil depot would also be constructed soon. He said that all the developmental projects foundation stone of which was laid by him today would be completed within the stipulated time period. He said that the Corona pandemic was not yet over and all of us should remain careful and vigilant. He said that though there have been a steep spike in the number of Covid cases in the State, but still the situation was under control. He urged the people of maintain social distancing and wear face masks while going out from their houses.
Chief Minister said that the State Government has decided that in indoor marriages and other social events the number is restricted to one hundred. He said that the Government has also decided that COVID tests would be mandatory for the catering staff engaged in marriages and other social events. He said that all this has been done to check the spread of this virus.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the Corona virus that forced everyone to re-think and re-plan their developmental priorities, due to this virus there were adverse affect on the economy. He said that all the officers need to re-plan their priorities and also re-fix the goals for time bound completion of various developmental projects in the area. He said that about Rs. 12,000 crore unspent money was lying with various departments, which needs to be identified and utilised for undertaking developmental works. He said that officers must ensure effective utilisation of this money to ensure that pace of development does not suffer due to want of funds.
Chief Minister said that Himachal Pradesh has been ranked as the first State in the country in effective implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission. He said that Rs. 360 crore would be spent under the Jal Jeevan Mission during the current financial year. He said that dedication of the Atal Tunnel by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi shows the love and affection he shared with the people of the State. He said this was the first tour of the Prime Minister after unlock in wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the present State Government was completing three years in office on 27th December, this year. He said that an event would be held at Shimla to mark this event keeping in view the Corona pandemic. He said that efforts would be made to virtually reach out to maximum people of the State.
Chief Minister congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National President BJP Jagat Prakash Nadda for landslide victory of NDA in Bihar and Nitesh Kumar was being sworn in as Chief Minister for fourth time in row. He said that credit of this goes to the development oriented policies of the Union Government.
Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Singh Thakur said that Satpal Singh Satti has always been vigorously taking up the issue pertaining to the development of his Vidhan Sabha area. He said that Una district in particular has witnessed unprecedented development during the last three years. He said that Satellite Centre of PGI at Una would go a long way in providing specialised health care services to the people of the area. He said that Jal Jeevan Mission was a major project of the Union government which would ensure tapped drinking water to every household in the country by 2022. He said that the Union Government has launched several schemes to strengthen the economy of the farmers of the country. He said that several schemes were also launched for welfare of youth, business community, workers, women, employees and other section of the society during the Corona pandemic.
Jal Shakti Minister Mahender Singh Thakur said that the State Government has started several schemes to provide taped drinking water to every household of the State. He said that Jal Jeevan Mission announced by the Prime Minister is proving a boon to the people of the country in this direction. He said that the performance of the State in achieving the target under this mission is outstanding and best in the country. He said that Swan Channelization project in Una district is almost completed and for the completion of the remaining portion the matter has been taken up with the Centre Government for funding. He said that five major projects worth crores of rupees for channelization of five rivers have been sanctioned by the Union Government.
Chairman Finance Commission Satpal Singh Satti while welcoming the Chief Minister and other dignitaries said that all these 45 schemes would go a long way in making Una Vidhan Sabha a model vidhan sabha of the State. He said that Una district has witnessed unprecedented development during the last about three years and this was possible due to the special benevolence of the Chief Minister towards the district. He said that Chief Minister has taken effective steps to tackle the Corona pandemic in the State, which have been appreciated even by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
