Shimla, April 3: Sanjay Awasthi, the Executive President of the Pradesh Congress Committee and the Chief Parliamentary Secretary, stated that the government led by Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu in the state is stable and will complete its term. He mentioned that the Congress enjoys both public support and a majority in the state.

Responding to the statement by former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, where he suggested that there would be no Congress government in the state after the Lok Sabha elections, Awasthi remarked that the BJP is living in a fantasy world where dreams never come true. He confidently asserted that Congress would secure a magnificent victory in all four Lok Sabha seats and the six legislative assembly by-elections. Awasthi added that the BJP’s attempts to destabilize the Sukkhu-led government would backfire.

Awasthi emphasized that the Congress is completely united, and the true face of the BJP has now been exposed to the public. He criticized the BJP for resorting to any means to cling to power, labeling their political maneuvering as reprehensible.

Regarding the leadership of Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu, Awasthi remarked that under his skilled leadership, the Congress is progressing towards fulfilling all its promises. Despite the challenging economic situation in the state, the government is making efforts to strengthen its financial resources. Awasthi highlighted that the government has reinstated the Old Pension Scheme for employees and has initiated the process of providing Rs 1500 to women, which has started in Lahaul-Spiti district. He accused the BJP of being anti-women and obstructing its implementation in other districts. He assured that after June 4th, the Congress government would implement it across the entire state. He reiterated that the Sukkhu-led government would fulfill all the promises made by the Congress.
