Chamba DC Reviews Restoration Work at Historic Heritage Sites

Chamba, June 29 : Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal inspected the ongoing maintenance and beautification works at the historic Rang Mahal, Akhand Chandi Palace, and Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple complex. He directed officials to complete repair and beautification works on priority and reviewed facilities at the district library housed in Akhand Chandi Palace, including plans to operationalize the computer lab and add competitive exam books. At the Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple complex, the DC said around 11 repair works have been identified and will be carried out in phases. Conservation-related works at the temple will be undertaken with the support of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to preserve the heritage structure. He also appealed to residents to help maintain the cleanliness of these historic and religious sites.
