Chamba, April 4: As part of an ongoing educational tour to Daman and Diu, 35 “Children of the State” from Chamba district had an enriching and memorable experience on the fifth day of their visit, exploring historical, administrative, and natural attractions in Daman.

Students from child care institutions in Chamba, Tissa, Saho, and the tribal subdivision of Pangi visited the District and Sessions Court along with several prominent administrative and heritage buildings in Daman. The visit provided them with valuable insights into the region’s governance and historical significance.

Tour in-charge and Child Protection Officer Ajay Bhardwaj informed that the educational trip is proving to be highly informative and inspiring, with children showing great enthusiasm throughout the journey.

Later, the children visited scenic viewpoints along the seashore, where they enjoyed mesmerizing ocean views and experienced the thrill of boating. The coastal visit added an element of adventure and joy to their learning experience.

The group also explored a bird aviary in Daman, where they closely observed a variety of international bird species. The visit offered them fascinating knowledge about different birds and fostered a deeper appreciation for nature and wildlife.

It is noteworthy that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the state government is implementing the ambitious ‘Sukh Ashray Yojana,’ under which it acts as a guardian for orphaned and vulnerable children, ensuring their holistic development.

As part of this initiative, 35 children (24 girls and 11 boys) from four child care institutions in Chamba district are participating in this educational tour, which commenced on March 31 and will continue until April 7. The Chief Minister also recently interacted with the children to learn about their experiences.
