The state police has booked a candidate, appearing for the test for recruitment of conductors in HRTC, for allegedly clicking pictures of the question paper and leaking them on social media. This happened 22 minutes after the exam commenced. A case under sec 420 of Indian Penal Code and sec 7 of HP Board&University prevention of malpractices has been registered against Lucky Sharma. He is a resident of Batadi village of post office Adal, Tehsil Rohru-district Shimla. It is believed that he secretly carried a mobile inside the examination center located at APG University and clicked pictures of the question paper and shared them online while the exam was going on. A similar leak has also been reported at Solan.

SP Shimla, Mohit Chawla quoted that a police complaint was registered by the registrar of APG University RK Kayasth, when he was informed that one of the invigilators Rajat Sharma has caught a candidate in the middle of the dubious act of clicking pictures inside the examination hall.

Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur has taken a serious notice of the question paper leak matter and has assured that the culprits will be brought to the book at the earliest. It is to be noted that an examination was held at 304 centers around the state for selection of 568 conductors in Himachal Road Transport Corporation(HRTC) on Sunday.
