Shimla, June 28: Himachal Pradesh Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh and Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani have accused the BJP of adopting an anti-employee stance by allegedly threatening government officers and employees over administrative actions.
In a joint statement, the ministers said the validity of criminal cases is determined by courts and not by political leaders. They alleged that the BJP was attempting to exert political pressure on officials and questioned why legal action taken during the BJP’s tenure was considered justified while similar actions are now being criticised.
The ministers also claimed that the previous BJP government failed to safeguard the interests of employees despite receiving substantial financial assistance from the Centre. They said the present Congress government had restored the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) and remained committed to protecting the rights, dignity, and impartial functioning of government employees and officers.
