Bahra University’s Department of Physiotherapy Raises Awareness on World TB Day

On the occasion of World Tuberculosis (TB) Day, the Department of Physiotherapy at Bahra University took proactive measures to spread awareness about TB among students and citizens of Wakhnaghat. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Vineet Kumar, the Registrar of the university.

The department organized various activities throughout the day to educate individuals about the importance of combating TB and promoting health initiatives. A significant highlight of the event was a rally conducted in Wakhnaghat, where participants marched through the streets, holding banners and placards adorned with messages advocating for TB prevention and treatment.

Additionally, a street play, commonly known as nukkad natak, was performed to engage the audience and deliver key messages effectively. The play emphasized this year’s theme, “Yes, we can end TB,” urging everyone to play their part in eradicating TB from society.

During the event, informative sessions were conducted to dispel myths and misconceptions surrounding TB, educate attendees about its symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options, and raise awareness about the importance of early detection and seeking medical assistance.

Mr. Vineet Kumar, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the significance of collective efforts in the fight against TB. He commended the Department of Physiotherapy for their proactive approach in organizing such an impactful event and urged everyone to contribute towards achieving the goal of a TB-free society.

The event concluded with a pledge-taking ceremony, where participants vowed to spread awareness about TB in their communities and actively support initiatives aimed at ending the disease. Through such initiatives, Bahra University reaffirms its commitment to promoting public health and social well-being.
