Hamirpur: On June 5, 2025, Jagruti Yuva Mandal Dalalad from Bhoranj Assembly organized a significant tree plantation drive to mark World Environment Day. The event aimed to spread awareness about environmental protection and inspire the community towards greenery.
Rajeev Rana, State Chairman of Unorganized Workers and Employees Congress (KKC), Himachal Pradesh, attended as the chief guest. He urged the youth to take responsibility for the environment, saying, “Connecting with nature is connecting with our future. Planting a tree is not just planting a tree but giving life to a generation.”
Expressing concern over environmental imbalance and climate change, Rana called on everyone to plant at least one tree every year.
Villagers including youth, women, children, and senior citizens actively participated by planting shade, fruit-bearing, and medicinal plants, making the event a success through strong community involvement.
Jagruti Yuva Mandal Dalalad officials thanked Rajeev Rana and pledged to continue playing a leading role in environmental protection activities.
