Auckland House Middle Section Celebrates Vibrant Sports Day

Shimla, May 08: Middle Section celebrated its Sports Day with great enthusiasm, energy and active participation, reflecting the spirit of fitness, discipline and teamwork among students.

The event was graced by Dr. Ruchi Ramesh, Principal of , who attended the programme as the Chief Guest.

The day featured an impressive line-up of performances and sporting events including March Past, Fitness Drill with Claps, Dumbbell Drill Display, Yoga, Gymnastics, Karate and Skating displays presented by students from different forms and groups. The audience also witnessed exciting competitions such as Obstacle Race, Baton Relay, Skipping Race, Sack Race and Skipping Relay, along with special races organised for ladies and gentlemen.

In the March Past competition, French House secured the first position, followed by Lefroy House in second place, Matthew House in third and Durrant House in fourth position.

In the overall standings, Matthew House emerged victorious and lifted the Sports Shield, while Lefroy House secured second place, Durrant House finished third and French House stood fourth.

The prestigious Ankur Chauhan Memorial Trophy for Best Athlete was awarded to Shanaya Verma for her outstanding performance and sporting excellence.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ruchi Ramesh appreciated the school management and staff for organising a well-coordinated and vibrant event. She praised the students for their discipline, enthusiasm and remarkable performances, adding that sports play a vital role in developing confidence, leadership qualities and a healthy competitive spirit among children.

The programme concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners and participants were applauded for their dedication and spirited participation.
