APG Shimla University Kicks Off New Academic Session with Orientation Program
1 min readShimla, August 1, 2024 — APG Shimla University commenced its new academic session with an orientation program for newly admitted students across various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The program saw the participation of around 200 students from diverse faculties including B.Tech, M.Tech, Journalism and Mass Communication (BA JMC-MJMC), BBA, MBA, Bachelor of Law, Master of Law, Hospitality and Tourism Management, MSc, BCA, MCA, BCom, MCom, BSc Forensic Science, Radiography, Optometry, Medical Lab Technology, Physiotherapy, and Pharmacy (BPharm, DPharm).
The orientation, led by Prof. Dr. Anandmohan Sharma, Dean of Academic Affairs, familiarized new students with the semester schedule and academic activities. Prof. Sharma highlighted the importance of character-building and self-reliant education, urging students to make the most of the institution’s resources and faculty.
Dr. Neelam Sharma, Dean of Student Welfare, assured students of comprehensive support for their holistic development and qualitative education. She provided insights into various facilities, including anti-ragging measures, student welfare, sports curriculum, scholarships, hostel, mess, library, women’s cell, job placement cell, smart classes, and university infrastructure.
